Funding Research

Before we receive new medical treatments or use new medicines, passionate and dedicated researchers have spent years searching for the breakthrough that made them a reality. Here at Westmead there are hundreds of researchers looking for answers to a wide range of diseases and are focused on translating their discoveries made in the lab to treat patients as quickly as possible. For those living with disease right now, research is their only hope. We believe in the power and hope of medical research to change their reality for the better.

Westmead Hospital cares for more than 1 million patients a year, and provides specialist care for 43% of Sydney’s population. Through My Westmead, we want to ensure everyone who turns to Westmead when they need it most – has access to the best possible treatment and care available. Funding care means generous donations will fund new life saving equipment (often not available anywhere else), cutting edge treatments and innovative care services.
